The folks here at Calvert Education would like to wish a very special Happy 100th Birthday to Elisabeth Knipp Eason (known as “Nippy”). Mrs. Eason was an instrumental part of Calvert’s Home Instruction Department (HID) in the 1950’s.
As a teacher of the “Eighth Age” (second grade), Mrs. Eason taught students from around the globe via correspondence course. She eagerly accepted packages from students from all areas, graded their work, and formed relationships with students from all backgrounds and cultures.
Mrs. Eason, we thank you for your time and dedication and for helping to make Calvert Education what it is today. Best wishes for a very happy 100th birthday!
Update: In honor of her birthday, Calvert Education CEO Steve Gross sent Mrs. Eason a special framed photo along with birthday wishes. Mrs. Eason’s son, Bruce, was kind enough to share a picture of the gift opening with us.
